Studio 11

Studio 11 is a fluid curatorial project, founded and curated by Julia Oram. As a self-funded, artist-run initiative, operated as a one-woman show, it exists outside of traditional institutional structures, embracing both independence and constraint as part of its evolving identity.

Inspired by the duality of the number 11, it embodies impermanence and purpose while holding a quiet resistance to the ordinary. With its nomadic nature, Studio 11 shifts and transforms, finding meaning through change. Boundaries blur, ideas flow, and collaboration unfolds as an open-ended journey rooted in shared experience, experimentation, and exchange.

Working independently allows for flexibility, but also means that resources remain fluid. While Studio 11 always aims to support participating artists where possible, contributions depend on what each project can sustainably hold. As each event develops, transparency remains central, with any available resources shared as thoughtfully and fairly as possible. Participation is always approached as an open, no-pressure invitation, with full respect for the need to prioritize paid opportunities.

Studio 11 is not tied to one place or one way of thinking, it is a meeting point for the curious and the bold, where art, design, and material experimentation converge to create something new.
