Old Friends Meet Again
This gathering is an invitation to step into a world where time slows, senses awaken, and fleeting moments are savored. Guests will be guided through an evening of ritual, food, and art, each element crafted to evoke renewal, presence, and transformation. Guests will first move into a warm and textured space to share a meal prepared by a Japanese chef, whose craft extends beyond cuisine into the art of gyotaku, an ancient technique of printing fish that captures both the form and the spirit of life beneath the surface. The menu remains an open canvas, shaped by the season’s finest offerings. Throughout the space, artwork weaves its own quiet narrative. Glass sculptures shimmer in shifting light, while paintings capture the fluidity of memory. Thoughtfully curated floral arrangements echo themes of summer’s fleeting glow, renewal, and fragility. As the evening deepens, guests are guided into the garden, where a quiet tea ceremony becomes the final act of reflection. Steam rises from delicate cups, carrying whispers of warmth and impermanence a gentle return to stillness, and a reminder of what is momentary and sacred.
